The Arrieta Family
From a numerous family of seven children, six of them were admitted to Hogar Casa del Ninio on May 2, 2000.That, after a selection of candidates among several families. Nilda, the mother of this family, suffered from a severe depression and the father had serious problems of alcoholism. After a certain period of time, the three older children were able to leave the institution and the three younger ones still remain in it. The bonds between the family and the Hogar have gotten stronger with time, and now that Nilda was able to recover from depression has been incorporated to the Hogar as an assistant and helps in it every day. At the present time, it is clear the improvement in the quality of life of this family and the academic performance of the kids at school. The father’s problems with alcoholism still remain an issue to be solved.
