Operation Canasta is a project of the Ivy Inter-American Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All donations to Operation Canasta/Ivy Inter-American Foundation are 100% tax-deductible.

Operation Canasta is completely run by volunteers. Approximately 97% of money donated goes directly to aid children in crisis. (The other 3% is used for postage, printing, website fees, and other administrative costs.)
