Pablo
Pablo touched base with the Hogar through visits he used to pay to his cousin, Francisco Saul, who was already in it. In those occasions he shared some time with him but also received some assistance from the Hogar in his homework for the school. His situation at home was very difficult because his mother has left the house a long time ago, and he was living with his grandmother. His father and three uncles also lived in the same house and had severe problems of alcoholism. His grandmother did not want at the beginning to have Pablo in the institution, mainly because she did not have enough information about it. But after a conference with personnel of the Hogar, she accepted his admission. Pablo’s performance at school had always been very satisfactory, as well as his behavior. Because of that, at the present time, with 17 years of age, he is allowed to remain in the institution even though the maximum age of the assistants does not normally go over the age of 14. Pablo is now in his 4th year of high school, his grades are outstanding and he plans to go to college in the future. La Casa del Ninio will keep supporting him in his future steps.
